Midpoint Indie Summer: Bad Veins

Last Friday we had a blast at Fountain Square for T-shirt fest and Midpoint Indie Summer. Shout out to the Dan McCabe and his Midpoint team along with Fountain Square Management Group for putting together a great summer series.

We had so much fun that this week we'll be back for another killer Friday night featuring local act the Bad Veins and their CD release show.

Citybeat on the Bad Veins

Midpoint is one of our favorite events. In the past we've done the event t-shirts and we were stoked last year to work on the Scion Streetcar project. Looks like this year may be the best yet.

T-Fest 2009, Fountain Square!!

Friday on Fountain Square was fantastic. It was amazing to see the center of our dear city such a buzz of excitement. Bill and the rest of the Fountain Square Management Group do a wonderful job with all the programming and T-Fest was no exception.

A beautiful night, a Reds game, and amazing music (including Wussy) complimented the clothing!

Here are a few snaps from around the Nati Evolvement booth! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and saw us. We really appreciate all the support!

Check out our recent interview with MetroMix Cincinnati (formerly CinWeekly)

Since 2005, Nati Evolvement (www.getnati.com) has sought to represent the positive changes in Cincinnati through its clothing line.

"I had just moved back from New York, and there were some neighborhood style shops in New York that inspired me. And I saw a lack of that sort of thing when I came back (to Cincinnati) as well as a need for the perception and to give people something to cling to and something to associate with when it came to thinking of Cincinnati and thinking of specifically Downtown," Nati Evolvement founder Michael Palmer says.

VEEP

Vice President Biden stopped in town yesterday for a visit to the American Can Factory Square development project in Northside. Biden announced $1.6M in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) stimulus funding for the stalled project. It appears that with some final approvals from a local bank this project is back on track.

Very cool to see some love for a tremendous local project that will bring 96 new residential units and 30,000 sqaure feet of of retail space to one of Cincinnati's most eclectic neighborhoods.

Building Cincinnati has some great stuff on the project

Nati and Charlie Chaplin

While wondering the streets of Waterville, Ireland I was struck to find out that Charlie Chaplin, a favorite of the town is commemorated with a statue in the town square. I love Charlie as much as the next person, I just didn't know he also loved Nati. Not only was he wearing some gear, he had on the new hat. He must have ordered online....
